What is a Case Manager?
Every student with an Individualized Education Plan is assigned a Case Manager. The case manager is a teacher trained in special education and oversees your child's IEP. Whenever you have questions or concerns about your student's needs, accommodations, or available resources contact a case manager.
Who is My Child's Case Manager?
Selecting a case manager is more or less random. If you do not know who your child's case manager is, you can contact anyone on the contact page to make inquiries. Be aware that a student's information is confidential; if you are not listed in PowerSchool as their legal guardian, we cannot give you any information regarding a student.
What is an IEP?
An Individualized Education Plan (IEP) is a unique plan designed for students that qualify for special education. Each plan is constructed with an IEP team (the student, guardians, special education teacher, general education teacher, an administrator, and a specialist (if needed). This plan lasts an entire year minus a day; when the IEP expires, a new plan is designed for the next year. An IEP declares the accommodations your student requires to be successful in school.
